Please help. I am looking for a recipe of my grandmothers. We called it "Chicken and Pastry". Here is all I remember about it:

1. It was LOADED with pepper

2. You started by boiling a stewing chicken for quite a while.

3. With a few minutes to go, you took some of the fat off the top of the boiling chicken, some flour and maybe an egg?? and made a dough. You rolled this dough out very thin, cut it into strips and placed 1 strip at a time into the boiling liquid.

I have very fond memories of this dish and was very upset that we lost the recipe subsequent to my grandmother's death.

I appreciate any help at all!

Happy cooking!
