We are in search of a recipe for a fruit salad dressing that was like lemon curd and included milk (cream?) and butter, and went on a salad composed of grapes, nuts, bananas and pineapple - although I don't suppose the fruits matter that much, they are just included as a memory aid. My mother remembers having this dressing while she was growing up, which would have meant the 1940's, possibly earlier. I would so much like to find this recipe for her. If it sounds familiar to anyone from their family recipes, please let me know. We have searched my grandmother's recipes, and as fun as it was to look back. we were unable to find it.
