Deep Dark Chocolate cake
From: Hershey Easy Does It recipe #11
Hi there this is the recipe that I use whenever I make chocolate cake. If you will poke holes in it when it comes out of the oven after baking then put the frosting on it while the cake is still warm it is much better.

1 3/4 cup unsifted all purpose flour
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup Hershey's Cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup boiling water

Combine dry ingredients in large mixer bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Stir in boilng water (batter will be thin.) Pour into greased and floured 13x9x2-inch pan. Bake at 350F for 35 to 40 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean from center.

Frosting

Boil 1 stick (1/2 cup) margarine, 6 tbsp. milk, 3 tbsp. cocoa in a pan. Let boil for 3 minutes or till real bubbly. Add 1 lb. of powdered (confectioner's) sugar and beat well. Pour over cake and let cool.

Hope this helps it is a real favorite at our house.

Cris
