Here's another recipe for you:
Vinegar Dumplings

Syrup
1/2 cup vinegar
1 cup sugar
1 stick margarine
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup water
Mix all the above together and bring to a boil.
Drop dumplings into mixture and boil about 15 minutes or until syrup is thick.
Dumplings
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons margarine
6 Tablespoons milk
Mix all together, like you would for biscuits.
Roll out into small rounds 1/2 inch thick and drop in vinegar syrup.
