Although this is not self-crusting, I have used this recipe extensively with a baked pastry base, crushed cookie/melted butter base, and even an oiled/sprinkled cake, cookie and toasted breadcrumbs base.

Simple No-Bake Cheesecake
8 oz cream cheese
14 oz sweetened condensed milk
1/3 c lemon juice
1 tsp gelatine
1 tb hot water
Cookie Base:
6 oz crushed cookies: wafers, crackers
3 oz melted butter
1/2-1 ts cinnamon

1a. mix the base ingredients well and press into foil lined 9" pie plate
1b. greased a foil lined 9" pie plate and sprinkle with crumbs
1c. use a sheet sweet shortcrust pastry to line a foil lined 9" pie plate and blind bake 180oC for 12-15mins.

2. Stir gelatine into hot water to soften and dissolve.
Beat cream cheese until soft. Pour in condensed milk while beating. Add lemon juice from ripe lemons [the juice from underripe lemons won't make the filling set.]
Add gelatine mix and beat well.
Pour into pie-plate and chill for 4 hours.

This is and excellent recipe to prepare the day before. Serve topped with pie-filling, fruit preserves and/or flavoured whipped cream
