You have brought back great memories for me! This is my Grandmothers recipe. I copied it exactly as she wrote it (recipe dated 1921)
Tomato Butter
Peel and Chop tomatoes fine, drain well
Cook until mush and drain again
Add Grandulated White Sugar( 3/4 Cup Sugar to each Cup of cooked Tomaotes)
Add Cinnamon to taste and A few slices of Lemon Peel.
Simmer on low heat, until thick. ( Be careful, it is easy to burn)
Can or Jar with Parafin seal for refrigerator ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
