Garden Coleslaw Aunt Runner´s Recipes
1 head green cabbage, shredded 1 green bell pepper, diced 1/2 cup diced sweet red peppers 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1/3 cup honey 2 tablespoons vinegar 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard 1/2 teaspoon celery seeds 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Toss cabbage and peppers in large bowl. Combine mayonnaise, honey, vinegar, salt, mustard, celery seed and black pepper in medium bowl, then toss with cabbage mixture. Mix well; cover and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
Creamy Garden Coleslaw Serves 12
1 head cabbage shredded 1 small zucchini shredded 1 cup carrots shredded 1/2 cup green bell pepper finely chopped 3/4 cup mayonnaise 2 tablespoons sugar 2 teaspoons lemon juice 1 teaspoon celery seed 1/2 teaspoon salt
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients; toss lightly. Refrigerate 15 to 20 minutes before serving. Note: an assortment of colored bell peppers can be used to add a splash of color to the salad.
