My grandmother used to make a cake that was made of jam and all of the same ingredients as fruitcake she used to wrap it in cheesecloth and soak it in wine. All of the fruitcake recipes I see do not call for Jam. The cake was very moist! Any help is appreciated. I'm Sure the recipe was never put on paper and all relatives that knew how to make it have passed away.
