My grandmother used to make a delicious pull-apart bread from Pillsbury hot roll mix. The recipe was on the back of the box in the middle and late 1960's. The dough was mixed in a bowl, then transferred to an iron skillet to rise and bake. It seems like she "baked" it on top of the stove with a lid tightly covering the skillet. Perhaps I am wrong about that part, but as a child that seemed to be a part of the magic! Did anyone else make this bread that Pillsbury called "ho-cake" on the box? I'd love to make it for my family now, but I don't have Grandma's recipe because she always followed the one on the box. Thank you!
