Here’s a recipe to try:

Molasses Candy

1 cup molasses
2 tbsp. butter
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar
Pinch of salt

Mix all ingredients together. Boil until a drop of candy hardens in cold water. Must spin a very good thread. Pour in buttered pan immediately. When cool break into bite sized pieces.
