3, 6, 9 FROSTING
3 tbsp. butter or margarine 6 tbsp. cream, milk, or evaporated milk 9 tbsp. brown sugar powdered sugar 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Bring butter, cream, and brown sugar, to a boil, stirring constantly. Add powdered sugar until proper consistency for spreading. Use mixer. Add more cream if it gets too thick. Add vanilla. Spread quickly on sheet cake.
CARAMEL FROSTING
2 tbsp. butter 1/2 cup canned evaporated milk 2/3 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 3 cups confectioner's sugar
Bring butter, milk, and brown sugar to boil. Boil on low heat 1 minute. Remove from heat; add vanilla. Cool. Add confectioners sugar. Blend well.
