Thank you both for your help. It would be wonderful if you happen to have the exact recipe from the can!!! It is very close to the recipe just listed but I remember it calling for (crisco) shortening on the label instead of butter. Another clue is if the recipe calls for icing made with powdered sugar, vanilla, butter, and Milk(I think milk?). The recipe I'm thinking of did not call for pineapple but it may have listed raisins or nuts as an option. I know it sounds like I'm being picky but all of the recent recipes just don't taste quite like the original. I grew up with my Dad and my brother and I remember making these for them when I was about 12 and they always loved them. They never lasted long! Thank you so much again for your help!
