Sorry I've haven't checked back in a while. You may have rolled your dumplin's too thin. Try leaving them a tad bit thicker and simmering for a shorter period of time. This is a dish you must constantly watch, as cooking times may/do vary. Check your pot constantly, no less than every 4-5 minutes.

I really hope you will try again. When I first learned to make the dumplin's, I occasionally had them disolve as well. That's when you add frozen veggies, some corn bread and a salad - for a great chicken soup with sides. Anyway please try again - YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!

Just a little practice and you have a recipe your children will make for their children.
