White soup
Maybe it is this one that my mother says my baba used to make, but I am not sure she did it for Christmas.

It's a type of potato soup

Lightly fry onions till translucent, add chopped potatoes, cover with a little water till cooked. Add milk and chopped parsely. You may add some thick noodles if you want.

Baba's soup didn't have garlic to my mother's recolection but I don't see why it couldn't be added with the onions.
