OLD-FASHIONED BARBECUES

1/2 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 cup Heinz Tomato Ketchup
1/2 cup tomato juice
1/3 cup Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons Heinz Worcestershire Sauce
3/4 pound thinly sliced roast beef or baked ham
6 to 8 sandwich buns, split, toasted (for serving)

In large skillet, saute onion in butter until tender.

Stir in ketchup and next 4 ingredients. Simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes; occasionally.

Add meat; heat slowly. Serve in toasted buns.

Makes 6-8 sandwiches (about 3 cups meat mixture)
