GRANOLA COOKIES

3/4 cup flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup Carnation Instant Nonfat Dry Milk crystals
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup shredded coconut
2 cups granola-type cereal

Sift flour, baking soda and salt together.

In large bowl, combine and mix shortening, brown sugar, instant milk crystals, egg, water and vanilla. Blend in flour mixture. Stir in raisins, coconut and granola cereal. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake in moderate oven (375 degrees F) 8 to 10 minutes. Cool slightly and remove from sheets.

Makes 4-5 dozen
