MUELLER'S MACARONI AND CURRIED LAMB

2 lbs. shoulder lamb cut in small pieces
2 tablespoons flour
2 teaspoons curry powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter or bacon fat
2 cups boiling water
2 cups milk
1 package Mueller’s Macaroni
Buttered bread crumbs (for topping)

Roll meat in flour, mixed with curry powder and salt, and brown in melted butter.

Add boiling water, cover and cook slowly until the meat is tender - about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Meanwhile, cook macaroni as directed and drain.

Remove cover from meat and let liquid boil down to about 1/2 cup.

Add milk (to the meat) gradually, then the macaroni. Add more seasoning if necessary. Turn into greased baking dish and cover with buttered crumbs.

Bake in a moderate oven, 350 degrees F., 20 to 30 minutes, until brown.
