My mother has been trying to recreate the wonderful fudge her mother use to make. Her mother died before I was born so I never had the fudge but supposedly it was super creamy. She swears it started with evaporated (not condensed) milk mixed with mini marshmallows and brought to a boil. then it was taken off heat and mixed with toll house semi sweet morsels and vanilla extract. it may have had a bit of salt but she swears it had no butter or sugar or other ingredients. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I've searched hundreds of recipes and found the ones with condensed milk but she swears that's not it.
