HAMBURGER NOODLE BAKE

2 3/4 cups uncooked noodles
1 lb. lean ground beef
1/4 cup finely cut onion
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1/4 1b. grated process American cheese (1 cup)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
FOR THE TOPPING:
1 cup bite-size shredded corn biscuits (cereal)
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
2 Tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (moderate).

Cook noodles according to package directions; drain (you should have 3 cups cooked noodles for the dish.) Set aside.

Brown beef over low heat in a 10·inch skillet. Drain off drippings.

In a 3-quart bowl mix together condensed soup, evaporated milk, cheese, salt, oregano and pepper. Stir in the meat and noodles. Pour into a greased, 2-quart baking dish.

Combine the remaining ingredients and use to top the meat and noodles.

Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until bubbly hot.

Makes 4-6 servings
