I purchased a homemade herb dryer at a yard sale.....it's made from 2 (8x10-inch) wooden picture frames with nylon screen attached to the back of each which lay horizontally, separated by a small vertical dowel on each corner pushed thru a drilled hole the same size with an appropriate sized O-ring placed below the bottom 'screen' and above it as well as another below the top 'screen' on each corner dowel to keep them separated and allow the air to circulate around and through them.

In addition, I went out and bought 2 sheets of plastic needlepoint canvas, cut them to size and put one on top of each screen to keep the wind from blowing the herbs away when it's setting out on the picnic table in the sunlight.
