Occasionally a teeny hunk falls through . The rack I use is a VERY OLD cake rack probably about 40 years old! It has tiny feet and top is divided into little squares - maybe 1/2 to 3/4 inch in between. It looks horrible after all these years of mis-use. But it sure serves its purpose!
And I got some new -- nicer -- racks for my cakes, cookies andbreads!

Oh, I usually spray it with non-stick spray -- as this was made before the time of non-stick stuff.
