I got an onion machine for Christmas. I just tried it out this afternoon and I am having problems. HOw do you determine when the corer is in 90% and how do you easily get the core out? And how do you easily use the cutter? The instructions said to press down firmly. I did and nothing happened. Finally my son tried it and it was almost too much for him too. He finally got it done but the onion doesnt look real great and as it is soaking in ice water some of the petals are coming off. If anyone has experience with one (and also has some recipes for coating) I would appreciate any suggestions
