Most of the time I just use the glaze on these cookies without any sprinkles. Enjoy!
FROSTED END PRESS COOKIES
2 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup softened butter or margarine 3 oz. cream cheese 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract 1 cup sugar 1 cup sugar 1 egg 1 Tablespoon milk
Colored Sugar Glaze 1 cup sifted confectioner' sugar 1 Tablespoon water
Chocolate sprinkles,chopped nuts, shreddded coconut or multicolored decorettes
Preheat oven to 375 dgrees F. Combine & sift flour, baking powder & salt into bowl. Reserve. Cream butter with cream cheese & vanilla in mixing bowl. Blend sugar in gradually. Beat in egg & milk.Stir in reserved mixture gradually. Force dough through desured disc of cookie press onto unbuttered baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown around edges. Remove to cooling rack.
For Colored Sugar Glaze: Mix sugar & water until smooth. Prepare small mounds of sprinkles, nuts, coconut or decorettes. Dip cookies in glaze, then in one of the mounds of toppings. Let glaze dry on cookies before storing.
