Hello,

Here are instructions for converting standard bread recipes to a 1 lb (and 1 1/2 lb.) bread machine that will also help you with ingredient amounts. Of course, recipes for two pound machines are easy to convert by dividing the amounts in half.

Adapting Traditional Bread Recipes
to the Bread Machine from The Bread Bible by Beth Hensperger

Also included is info about ingredients for the bread machine and a description of dough enhancers.

Here are some recipes that have been shared previously:

Italian Bread (bread machine dough cycle) (divide in half for a 1-pound loaf)

Avanti's Italian Sweet Bread (divide in half for 1 lb. loaf)

Regal Bread Machine Italian Herb Bread (divide in half for 1 lb. loaf) - scroll down when viewing this recipe for more Regal bread machine recipes.

Italian Easter Bread (divide in half for 1 lb. loaf)

Italian Herb Bread (divide in half for 1 lb. loaf)

Happy Baking!

Betsy

I have an older Regal 1 pound bread machine , and lost its manual with recipes - I found some great Italian bread recipes on this site, but they are for 1 1/2 pound machines. It shows capacity of flour per different machines but do I cut back on all other ingredients as well? Or does anybody have a good Italian bread recipe for a one pound bread machine? Thanks
