Recipe(tried): Basic Bread for Welbilt Breadmaker

Hi Kay,

I have a WELBILT bread machine.

Ingredients are listed in order of how they go in the machine. Some machines are the exact opposite.

BASIC WHITE BREAD

2 teaspoons yeast
3 cups bread flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 Tablespoon granulated sugar
1 1/2 Tablespoon dry milk
1 1/2 Tablespoon butter (soft)
1 1/4 cups water (warm)

All ingredients must be at room temperature.

While the bread is mixing, I sprinkle 1 Tbsp. of flour at a time (white or wheat) until I get the desired consistency.

Select: Yeast Bread/Medium

If a recipe doesn't include the bread machine size:
1 lb machine = 2 cups flour and dry ingredients maximum

1 1/2 lb machine = 3 cups flour and dry ingredients maximum
(you can use both 1 lb and 1 1/2 lb loaf recipes in a 1 1/2 lb bread machine)

2 lb machine = 4 cups flour and dry ingredients maximum
(you can use 1 lb, 1 1/2 lb, and 2 lb loaf recipes in a 1 1/2 lb bread machine)

To find your bread machine pan size:

Fill the bread pan with water and measure in cups:
Less than 10 cups of water = a 1 pound bread machine
11 to 13 cups of water = a 1 1/2 pound bread machine
More than 13 cups of water = a 2 pound bread machine
