I have had a tender cooker from Nordic Ware for years and really like it. I took ham and pinto beans and cooked them for 30 minutes in the tender cooker, let the pressure relieve and then finished them on the stove. We had beans and ham in less than an hour and a half instead of three to four hours and no soaking overnight in case you forget.
