LITE HUMMUS SPREAD
1 (15 oz.) can garbanzo beans, drained, reserving 6 Tbsp. of the liquid 1 Tbsp. sesame tahini 2 Tbsp. lemon juice 1 to 2 cloves garlic (depending on your love of garlic!) 1/2 tsp. olive oil Paprika Fresh ground black pepper Salt to taste (optional)
Blend the beans, reserved liquid, tahini, lemon juice and garlic together in a blender or food processor until smooth.
Pour the mixture into a bowl and drizzle the olive oil on top. Sprinkle with paprika, black pepper and, if desired, salt.
This recipe makes a little more than a cup -- a good amount of dip for four people.
Each of the 4 servings contains 157 calories and 4 grams of fat.
