HITACHI BREAD MACHINE DINNER ROLLS
2 cups bread flour 2 tablespoons sugar 2 tablespoons dry milk 4 tablespoons butter 1/2 egg 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup water 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons dry yeast 1/2 egg, beaten (for brushing on top of rolls)
Place all ingredients in bread machine. When done kneading (buzzer buzzes), place the dough on a board and push it evenly to squeeze out gas. Divide into 12 balls. Cover with a damp towel and let rest for 20 minutes.
Roll each ball into a wedge shape. Starting with the widest side, roll up the wedge loosely towards the point.
Place on a greased baking pan with the point downwards. Spray lightly with water. Let rise until almost doubled in size (30-40 minutes).
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Brush rolls with beaten egg.
Bake in 350 degree F oven for 10-15 minutes. Remove from baking pan, serve warm.
