As I said before What would you estimate In material I payed to make an 8 ft artificial cherry tree?

Well, I found delicate pink delphinium flowers that were just over $1.00 each stem. these look like cherry blossoms, from this stem I did 3 branches. I used a total of 5 stems, 4 glue sticks and maybe a few turns of floral tape. The tree branch was out of my own yard.

The base was a beautiful oriental bowl which I picked up for $3.50. the moss was free because I have it growing here and the wire I used around 20, 4 ft pieces.

That's what it cost me just over $6.00 also including glue, tape and wire.

The tree is so realistic that my neighbour asked me. Where did you find a blooming cherry this time of year?

I laughed and told her to touch the blossoms. She now has asked me If I will show her how to do one, I'm serious, these trees add so much to a room, they give it life, Green plants are wonderful but who wants to always have to remember to water them.

I couldn't resist, I found some fabric that had soft oriental cherry bloosoms in it and now am making my swag lamps with it!!

These are also easy to make and you can even match your lamps to your sofa, duvet Ect....

If anyone wants to know how to make these, again, let me know!!!

I finally put the finishing touches in my bedroom.

My bedroom has Burgundy walls alot of recessed pot lighting, hand painted white and soft rose colored roses with teardrop ivy leaves dropping down to each corner, then just below the snow white crown moulding is a delicate lacey paisley background in colors ranging from dark burgundy to soft light rose, almost as if you took a strong colour and kept adding white to it!!! you cant see where one color starts or ends.

My carpeting is also deep burgundy but a velvet sheen to it!!! Your probably thinking it's very dark but also remember, I have alot of lighting and huge french doors to a southern exposed backyard, not to mention the white crown mouldings. My table lamps are a medium rose base with the shades I made in the same fabric as my duvet cover. That is a granny print quilt with hunter green, rose burgundy and small traces of steel blue.

All my paintings in the bedroom are sea scapes , lighthouses and old buildings with crashing waves ranging from sunsets to soft pastels some with old trails grown over with wildflowers. over all of these paintings I made a crescent shaped floral header with artificial ivy and small delicate rose buds with just a bit of dried white status.

I hope one of you try some of these things, it's so nice to retire for the evening in a place that is restful and home sweet home, not just a house.

When you've been in so many new homes and don't stay for longer than a year at a time, how can you make it home!!! That's it for us, we've built enough of them, Finally My home, that sure sounds nice!!!

BURGUNDY, I knew our prayers would be heard!!! God Bless you, You'll come through with flying colors!!!!

Nan, have you started the tree yet? Let me know if I can help with anything!!!

I think I better get off this thing and get some work done, Will be making those yummy chocolates this weekend. Wish I could give you all a sample to try!!!

Oh well, Just think of rich, melt in your mouth chocolate with various filling such as delicate moulds of caramel with tiny pieces of pecan, or maybe coconut with a rich buttery fondant filling smothered in Swiss chocolate.

I'll stop there!! I'm sure some of you will be heading to the store for a quick fix of chocolate!!!

Take care,

Love Kris.
