Hi guys.. I've been experimenting with homemade ice cream for years, and I think this is my husband (of 32 yrs) favorite....Hope you all enjoy homemade ice cream like we do (the first thing my grandchildren ask for when they walk in the door on these hot summer days in Georgia) This also "dips" well (just dip your dipper in water first), Here it is, and let me know how you like it Terri's vanilla ice cream 1 small jar marshmallow creme 4 cans evaporated milk 1 cup sugar 4 tsp. vanilla (pure) 1/2 pint whipping cream whole milk (to "fill" line) Open jar of marshmallow creme, and soften for a few seconds in microwave and place in large mixing bowl (should be "soft"), add canned milk and sugar and vanilla and mix with electric mixer till sugar is dissolved. pour into freezer container, pour whipped cream in and add whole milk to "fill" line, follow directions on your type of ice-cream freezer...(I use an electric one) Also, my husband loves "cherry" ice cream, so sometimes I add chopped maraschino cherries that I have "patted" all the juice off on paper towels...Try it...you'll like it!
