he was in the air force .... I think he entered right after college ('54) and was in Ohio (Dayton?) before going to France. He was at 2 bases there - 1 outside of Paris and 1 down where the good Anjou rose wines are harvested. I think, when his tour ended, he stayed on as a civilian for 2 years. He is a civil engineer.

I didn't meet him until about '59 in Athens Greece. I was a secretary at the U.S. Embassy and he worked for a company that was under contract to the U.S. air force at the small base they had near the airport. So he was with military all the time while working, etc. and, of course, he was still in the reserves. After we married, we lived in Greece for several more years - about '58 - 66.
