Cabbage Casserole
1 head cabbage, thinly sliced 1 medium onion chopped 1/2 cup celery chopped 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper 1 can cream of mushroom soup (I used cream of chicken soup with herbs) 1/2 cup sour cream 1 lb. ground meat (turkey, beef, and/or sausage), browned and drained 1 cup grated pepper jack cheese 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
Parboil cabbage; drain.
Saute onion, celery, and bell pepper. Add soup, sour cream, meat and cheese. Stir until cheese is melted.
Layer in casserole dish beginning with cabbage and ending with meat mixture. Top with bread crumbs.
Bake at 375 for 45 minutes.
Note: Using low/no fat ingredients works just as well. |
