If only you could ever believe the truth of "enjoy it all - even the bad" cause it all comes to a very fast halt in the grand scheme of things in our short lives.

I was reading your sorrows, remembering mine at that age - I believe that kids should skip ages 12, 13, 14 and 15 - HORRIBLE ages.

I'm in the middle of a visit here on the Cape with my 39 year old and her husband and my beloved Drake, grandson age 5/3. If only you could have seen and heard her and me going at it at age 14, and the loving, caring person she is now. Several weeks ago, my youngest daughter who married a sweet man who has joint custody of his twin daughters age 7, also came and visited with us - and again, I was so proud of her and the way she and the girls appear to love and respect each other (husband, too of course) One day they were all here at our campground, and she mentioned getting pregnant next year, and one of our busybodies exclaimed - dont you think that twins are enough - to which I quietly said to the woman, these are not my daughter's biological children - to which she caught me up by saying to the woman - I've known these kids since they were two years old, and I've helped raise them and they are just as much my own as they are my husband's. I was so proud of her! (Stupid thing for me to say, I realized too late)

So - like I say - enjoy it all - it's all part of life's experiences and cherish every minute of it.
