Thank you all for your help actually soon it stopped the extra sudsing but oh how i wish i had know some of these tricks like the fabric softner when it happened.

I'm wiht you on the book idea -- it could be one page for each appliance easy i23 here's how sort of a thing .... I know you wonder if they even KNOW that a vac. has a bag!! When working in fabric store i would have more women cme in and ask if there was any way to replace a broken needle?? like they ahd had had machines FOR YEARS w/o changing needles!! I've had plenty of friends be suprised that you have a "belt in an upright vac too these are grown women with families and minds .... yikes!!
