HURRICANE FROM HELL CAKE
Posted by DIANA on November 15, 1998 at 10:48:57:
This is one of the easiest and delicious cakes ever. I have given this recipe out
many, many times when brought to a party, cookout etc... (bottom layer) In a
9x13, 1 stick of melted margarine, 1 c. chopped pecans and 1 c. flaked coconut.
Spread evenly. (2nd layer) Mix a German chocolate cake mix as directed on
back of box. Pour batter over bottom layer of mixture. Set aside while making
topping. (top layer) On low heat, melt 8 oz. cream cheese, 1 stick of margarine
and gradually add a 1 lb. box of confectioner's sugar until mixed well. Spoon this
mixture over the top of batter and bake at 350' for approx. 50 - 60 min. Serve
right out of the pan. The top of cake will be bubbly and slightly crusty. You will
love this recipe.
