I'm not sure if this is the soup you're looking for, but it has the ingredients you listed. It is a Polish recipe. It has a lot of optional ingredients because everybody makes it a little differently. The only "non-optional" ingredients are the pork, sauerkraut, water, and pepper!

Kapusta

spare ribs or country style ribs
water
pepper
mashed potatoes (optional)
2 medium yellow onions, chopped (optional)
1 cup yellow peas, soaked and drained (optional)
1 medium shredded cabbage (optional)
1 tsp sugar (optional)
1-2 tsp kitchen bouquet (optional)
1 tsp dill seeds (optional)
1 large can sauerkraut

Cover ribs with water. Salt and pepper to taste. Add onions and peas. Simmer until pork is dones and peas are tender yet firm--approximately 1 1/2 hours. Remove meat from bone. Add cabbage, sugar, kitchen bouquet, and dill seeds. Cook until cabbage is almost tender. Add sauerkraut (drained and washed). Cook all together for 20-30 minutes. Mashed potatoes may be added to thicken soup.
