KFC Regular batter-mix & crispy mix.
Virginia, this is very easy to do. I am omiiting the method of cooking because you only asked for batter-mix. I am including the extra crispy mix for your consideration however, I hope you will enjoy it.
CRISPY 5 cups cold water 3 TBLS salt 1 cup milk 1 large or extra large egg 2 cups flour 1 teasp. MSG (Accent) 2 teasp. salt 1 teasp. pepper
Allow 2 (3 1/2 to 4 pound) fryers cut-up into 6 pieces to bath in water & 3 TBLS of salt for 30 /45 minutes.
Mix next 2 ingredients & whisk well till blended.
In a seperate bowl mix next 4 ingredients & mix well.
Dry chicken well Dredge in flour, then in milk mixture, then back into flour. do this 1 piece at a time.
Regular batter texture: Dip chicken into milk mixture then in flour mixture.
OPTIONAL: when completed you may refrigerate chicken till ready to fry. Also Optional you may include 1 1/2 TBLS. of your favorite combination of dried herbs. |
