Chinese Ribs and Rib Sauce
2 1/2 lb. slab pork spare ribs 1/4 teaspoon Chinese 5 spice 1 clove garlic, minced 2 tablespoon soy sauce 2 tablespoon brown sugar 1/2 cup catsup 2 tablespoon Hoisin sauce (Peking Sauce} 2 tablespoon red wine 3 tablespoon honey 1/2 teaspoon of ginger
Mix all Ingredients together except honey and split in two portions. Use one portion to lightly brush ribs on both sides. Let ribs set for several hours or overnight under refrigeration.
Place on broiler pan. Cut ribs in pieces. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 to 1 Â1/2 hours until done.
Turn oven to broil. Add honey to remaining mixture, brush ribs and broil each side a few minutes to glaze ribs. |
