I make great frappicinos using a Braun hand held blender, crushed ice (my refridgerator makes crushed ice - do not use the Braun mixer on regular ice cubes; you could also use a regular blender), instant coffee (you can mix it with the Torani syrup first to make an "espresso-like" concoction, either canned evaporated milk (very cold) or non-fat dry milk (add to either water, or non-fat milk to make it extra creamy, but make it very cold), and Torani sugar free (splenda) flavoring. For the "whipped creme" topping you can use cool whip, dream whip, or whipped non-fat dry milk (I add Torani sugar free flavoring to the whipped topping and use my Braun Mixer whipping tool, or just a regular mixer to make the topping). My friends and family love these drinks and I make them all the time; just about every day. I was also hooked on the Starbucks version, but decided to experiment. You'll also need to experment with amounts of ice, flavoring, milk. You can also add cocoa powder, peppermint extract, orange extract, etc., sky's the limit as there are so many varieties.
