Good evening. Thank-you for thinking of me. I studied your recipe & you can replace the chocolate chips with any combination of the following: Bite-sized nuts of your choice. Consider chopped up dates, you can buy them at the health food store as well as chopped up dried figs. You must replace them with 12, oz of this combination because 2 cups of choco chips weigh 12, oz., one more thing my friend, your recipe has too much baking powder. reduce to 1 tsp & add 1/4 tsp baking soda to neutralize the acdic ingredients like the milk & brown sugar which has molasses in it.
