I was just thinking about this last night. My friend's hooked on them...but I find paying $5 for a "rice krispy treat" a little overboard. I have a recipe that makes a yummy treat, so I was thinking that if I add mini-semis, mini-marshmallows and drizzle lumps of the mix with melted white chocolate instead of making the frosting?? What do you think?? This is my idea:

1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup Karo syrup
6 cups Rice Krispies
2 tbsp. butter
1 cup mini semi-sweet choc. chips
2 cups mini mashmallows or chopped
----------------------------------
(1 cup chocolate chips, 1 cup butterscotch chips- original recipe melted and spread)
Sub. with 2 cups white chocolate chips

Melt sugar, syrup and butter over medium heat until dissolved. Take off heat and add peanut butter mix until smooth. Pour in Rice Krispies, marshmallows, mini-chips and mix well. Drop large lumps on cookie sheet or shape with buttered hands. Melt chips on double boiler and pour over crispy mixture. Let harden.
