TIM HORTON'S CHILI Source: Chatlaine From: volunteermum
Here is a recipe that I got from the forum a few years ago. I have not followed the recipe exactly, but this one looks good and sounds easy.
Does any one ever make Chili the same way twice! Here you go:
My mother's recipe comes very close to the Tim Horton's chili.
These are the original ingredients: 1 pkg extra lean ground beef 1 large onion, diced chili powder to taste 1 can red kidney beans 1 can beans in tomato sauce 1 can diced tomatoes 1 green pepper, diced 2 tablespoons vinegar I also add: 1 can corn, drained some garlic
Brown ground beef with the onion and a few shakes of chili powder.
Add to either a large pot or Crock Pot. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir well.
If you are doing it on the stove (I haven't done it that way in awhile) simmer for I think a couple of hours, stirring often.
If you are doing it in a crock pot, cook on low for 9-10 hours.
This recipe doubles very easily.
