KIWI-STRAWBERRY LEMONADE 1/2 kiwi 3 medium strawberries 1 lemon 1/2 cup water 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoon sugar 2 ice cubes (optional)
Squeeze the kiwi and strawberries into a cup. Use a lemon squeezer to squeeze the lemons. Add 1/2 cup water. Add the sugar and stir (if too sour or sweet add a little more water).
JANET'S SMOOTHIE (STRAWBERRY AND KIWI)
This smoothie recipe is made extra-healthy with fruit, flax seed oil, walnuts, wheat germ, and yogurt.
3 wedges ripe cantaloupe cut into cubes 1 cup fresh or frozen sliced strawberries 1/2 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen 1 kiwi 1 mango (when in season) 1 cup plain non-fat yogurt 1 tablespoon ground flax seed or oil several walnuts 2 tablespoons plain or honey wheat germ 1 teaspoon vanilla
In blender chop then blend all ingredients; pour into tall frosted glass and enjoy!
STRAWBERRY KIWI SMOOTHIE
1 cup vanilla low fat yogurt 4 medium size kiwi, peeled, chopped 1/2 cup orange juice 1/2 cup Equal® Spoonful* 2 cups unsweetened frozen strawberries
Place all ingredients except strawberries in blender container; cover. Puree until smooth. Add strawberries and puree until smooth. Serve immediately in tall glasses.
*May substitute 12 packets Equal sweetener
