BUCHI (BEAN FILLED SESAME BALLS)
Adapted from source: Jhundpogi

FOR THE STUFFING/FILLING:
200 gms red mung bean
water
1 cup white sugar
FOR THE BUCHI DOUGH:
1 pack ground glutinous rice
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla (optional)
1/2 to 3/4 cup water
sesame seeds (for covering)

Boil red mung bean with water. When soft mash with wooden spatula and then add sugar. Consistency should be like ube halaya.

TO PREPARE THE GLUTINOUS RICE DOUGH:
Add vanilla to water and little by little add to ground glutinous rice that has been mixed with sugar until you can form a sweet rice dough (Galapong).

TO PREPARE THE BUCHI:
Get a handful of the prepared dough and roll in you hand to become a dough ball. Press your thumb in the middle and put in some filling. Close the dough around the filling and roll again to form ball.

Put the sesame seeds in a bowl and roll the dough ball in them so it will be covered in sesame seed.

Deep fry in hot oil.

I sometimes use ube halaya and also tastes like ube hopia.
