Hi - I am going to try to make Steak and Shake chili. I have the can with the ingredients and there is NO tomatoes of any kind. AND NO COCOA of any kind. It is basically water, beef, beans, chili powder and food starch. If you've ever tasted real Steak and SHake chili then you know that it is meaty and not tomato based. Also, the can says nothing about cocoa. I'm going to use browned ground beef mixed with water, beef broth, corn starch and beans (of course chili seasoning). I will post the results here. My family loves this chili and I am on a quest to get the recipe correct! Any other thoughts from others would be appreciated. Thanks!
By the way, I have examined the 'chili beef' and found it to be ground beef, oil from the beef (tons of it) and chili seasoning.
