the year around 1965.costa mesa calif. all of us would gather,and then the helms bakery truck stops on our block.we all wait for a long drawer to be pull out!!!and there it was a white box with about 9 or 12 cake type brownie.they looked like a small little brick.about 2"long by 1 1/2" high by 1 1/2" across.the out side was a soled chocolate coating.somethig like the chocolate out side of a dipped soft icecream cone.inside was a firm cake maybe with or with out nuts.this little brick chocolate ( brownie)had a taste like no other.helms also had the standard brownie plat and square with a stanard soft iceing.the brick was one of a kind!!!do these brick cake brownies still on our planet some where??? is there a recipe for this one of a kind taste for this little brick.please somebody out there must recall this jem of a little cake brick brownie.please help our orange county calif.1960's kids find them or make them!!!!sorry for the spelling.
