1. Magnolia's Raspberry Cream Cheese Breakfast Buns These buns have been our most popular breakfast item at the bakery since the first day we opened our doors. The flavors of the cream cheese and the preserves work really well together. 2. Magnolia’s Vanilla CupcakesEveryone is always asking us which is the most popular cupcake at the bakery. Most people are surprised that it is what we call the vanilla vanilla - the vanilla cupcake with the vanilla icing (and the most popular color for the icing is pink). 3. Magnolia’s Chocolate CupcakesMade from the same batter as our popular Chocolate Buttermilk Cake, this not too rich and not too chocolatey cupcake goes equally well with the vanilla or chocolate buttercream icing. 4. Magnolia's Vanilla Buttercream FrostingThe vanilla buttercream we use at the bakery is technically not a buttercream but actually an old-fashioned confectioners’ sugar and butter frosting. Be sure to beat the icing for the amount of time called for in the recipe to achieve the desired creamy texture. 5. Magnolia’s Famous Banana PuddingI started making this pudding when I was in my early twenties and cooking at a Tex-Mex restaurant and bar. Customers loved it, so when we opened the bakery many years later, it seemed like a great idea to serve it there. It remains the second most popular dessert (after the cupcakes) at the bakery.
