Steak with Mustard Sauce for One From: Bob Y. Newsgroup: rec.food.cooking Date: 7-19-98 Makes One Serving
1 Tbsp Butter or margarine 1 Tbsp chopped green pepper 1 Tbsp chopped onion 1 1/2 Tbsp Dijon mustard 1/4 cup beef stock 2 Tbsp cooking oil 1 cube steak, 4 to 6 oz.
Melt butter in small saucepan. Add peppers and onion and stir over medium heat 3 minutes. Stir in mustard and stock and cook over medium heat, stirring often, until slightly thickened, about 10 minutes.
Heat oil in a small, heavy skillet over medium-high heat and fry steak about 2 minutes a side, or until done. Add sauce and turn steak over in the sauce, then put it on a hot serving plate and pour the sauce over it.
