Apple Brown Betty

INGREDIENTS
4 slices of bread
1/2 c Butter
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
dash Nutmeg
dash Salt
3 tbls Brown sugar, firmly packed
2 c Cooking apples

TOOLS
crockette

PREP
Cube bread
melt butter
Peel & Chop apple

DIRECTIONS
Mix bread cubes with butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and brown sugar.
Arrange in alternate layers with apples in crockcette.
Cover and cook 2-3 hours or until apples are tender.
Serve warm with cream, hard sauce or ice cream.
