Not sure if you are still looking for a recipe but try this...The origional recipe called for white flour and they are sooo yummy but I make them now with whole wheat and they are still great and a healthier alternative.
Mile High Biscuits
3 C flour 3/4 tsp cream of tarter 3/4 tsp salt 4 1/2 tsp baking powder 2 Tbsp sugar 3/4 cup shortening 1 egg 1 cup milk
Mix dry together, cut in shortening, mix egg & milk & and add to the mix.
Kneed for 3 minutes on a lightly floured surface.
Roll out and cut with a round cookie cutter.
Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
